Second day in Hanoi got up at 12.30,
missed breakfast then headed out to have a look at the city. Got a hotel
map but not enough detail, but street signs are good at each
intersection. Walked around Hoan Kiem Lake, temple only open for another
15 mins so gave a miss. Still tired!
Went back to
Highway 4 as was so close to hotel and awesome. More beef and ants and
also some crickets fried with pork fat and honey this time. Delicious.
Each dish costs about £2 which is expensive for the area. Can get street
food for about 40p. Total bill with beer came to about £15 both times
at Highway 4.
Built up the bikes in the room in the
evening and packed the panniers. They survived the flight pretty well,
few more dents and scratches and mudguards bit out of shape but good to
go.
