A day off in the pool was no longer on the cards so we planned to go to the beach instead. After doing some research online, we found that the hotel advertised another pool on their website pics. It turns out that there is a sister resort right on the beach and we could get a free transfer down there in a hotel car (more like the 5-star service we hoped for!) but still have to pay a bit for the pool, about £1.50 each. We had been into the town last night for a look around on the bikes already, and other than a temple on the hill that we were not too interested in we only had the beach and pool in our sights.
Once we had booked it all and got ready to leave, the very nice girl from the reception almost ecstatically told us that the pool would be open after all! Oh well, we could use it when we came back.
The beach pool was great, 30m, salt water and the weather was blinding. The beach itself was unusable as it was still very rough for swimming so we stuck to the pool.
We got back to the hotel and obligingly spent the last hour of sun in the very nice hotel pool, then had another pizza dinner and played some cards on the terrace and we felt like we had had a day off in the end.
